1. Light Years

Light Years absolutely, without a doubt, 100% tops our list for the best spot to eat in Noosa!  Light Years does Asian fusion to perfection! Bao buns, fried chicken, peking duck pancakes, crispy pork belly and a range of delicious vegan options are just some of the menu items on offer. I’m drooling just thinking about it. They also make delicious cocktails, and I have fallen in love with the Tropic Thunder. A chill infused vodka passionfruit mix, it is amazing and I have even tried to recreate it at home it’s so good. The menu is designed for sharing, and it can be a little pricey if you want to order everything (you probably will!). It’s best to come with family or a group of friends so you can try and share multiple dishes and split the bill. But we promise – it’s worth it!

2. VanillaFood

VanillaFood is my favourite go-to spot for coffee or brunch. The café itself is beautifully designed and decorated and is the perfect place to set up your laptop and get some work done. The menu is largely plant-based, and they have a range of unique drinks. I love the coconut congee, which is like a sweet rice-based porridge, topped with dates, fruits and nut butter. If you’re wondering where to eat in Noosa for breakfast, I highly recommend VanillaFood!

3. Piccolino

If you’re wondering where to eat in Noosa for Italian food, you can’t go past Piccolino. Located on Hastings Street, the restaurant shares a space with 10 Hastings Street Cafe. It operates as the café during the day, and then Piccolino at night. Both their pizza and pasta are delicious, sticking to simple, traditional Italian flavours. On our last visit, we shared a duck ragout pasta and a pizza (and a bottle of red, of course!) and it was the perfect amount for the two of us. Dining outside on Hastings Street, with the trees lit up by fairy lights and live music playing is a quintessential Noosa experience.

4. Heads of Noosa

Noosa is home to many amazing breweries and distilleries. But for food, we can’t go past Heads of Noosa. With an Asian meets American style menu, you can expect dishes like fried chicken, bao buns, bahn mi and a range of burgers. All just as delicious as the range of beers they serve on tap! The brewery is tucked away behind the Noosa Civic Shopping Centre in Noosaville, but it’s the perfect spot for lunch and some bevvies on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Heads of Noosa are open for dinner on Friday nights (until 8 pm) but close at 6 pm on their other opening days, so be sure to visit during the day.

5. Raw Energy

Raw Energy is a chain you will find all over the Sunshine Coast, but their Noosa branch is located on the river in Noosaville. If you’re looking for fresh, healthy affordable food you can’t go wrong with Raw Energy. Their menu comprises smoothies, coffees, a range of smoothie bowls, savoury poke style bowls, fresh wraps and sandwiches and tasty vegan treats. We love their acai bowls and this is our go-to spot for brunch or lunch on a warm day.

6. Flo’s Crêperie

A newcomer to the Noosa food scene, Flo’s Crêperie opened in Noosa Junction in 2021. It is a beautiful restaurant, with a menu of sweet and savoury crepes that is near impossible to choose from! Brayden always goes for savoury, and I always go for sweet, so we have tried both options and can confirm either is delicious. For a meal with a show, choose The Suze. The waiters bring your crepe out and light it on fire as they pour the Grand Marnier. Pretty cool!

7. Ze Pickle

If you’re looking for a hearty, comforting, delicious and ever so unhealthy burger in Noosa, head for Ze Pickle. Burgers are their speciality, but they also offer all the mouth-watering sides like wings, mac and cheese, onion rings etc. Be sure to take note of the names of the burgers on their menu. It’s part of the fun, with burgers like ‘Kanye’s Mum’ and ‘That Vego Friend’. Their drinks list has crazy cocktail concoctions, with lollies and fairy floss being a staple in many. If you can squeeze in dessert, just reading the decadent options on the menu could give you a heart attack!

8. Paradise Arcade

Paradise Arcade in Noosa Junction is, in our opinion, the best spot for Mexican food in Noosa. The design and décor of the restaurant are funky and colourful, lit up with neon signs and a huge painting of Frida Kahlo on the wall. We have visited on multiple occasions and tried lots of different things from the menu, all delicious! For the best value, choose a burrito over tacos as they are massive and very filling. Oh, and Brayden can confirm the margaritas are good!

9. Sum Yung Guys

Probably one of the most popular restaurants in Noosa, Sum Yung Guys serves up a modern Thai-fusion cuisine. In 2021 they relocated from their original location in Sunshine Beach to a larger venue in Noosaville as they needed more space! I have to admit, we only visited once during our time living in Noosa. Not because it wasn’t good (it was delicious!), we just never got around to booking in again. And believe me, you need to book. Even on a weeknight, and sometimes even just for lunch! But I couldn’t leave Sum Yung Guys off a list of restaurants in Noosa, and our one and only visit was good enough to warrant a spot. If you’re with a large group (we were), you can do a banquet menu. They will just keep dishing up delicious food to you all night long until you roll out of there bursting.

10. Maisie’s Seafood and Steakhouse

Ask any local where to eat in Noosa for seafood, and Maisie’s will be the answer! Maisie’s is the place to come for seafood… and not just any old seafood dishes. They serve up epic seafood platters that take up a whole table! For just $75 you can get a hot and cold seafood platter, which has a huge range of things like fresh prawns, oysters, mussels, Moreton Bay bug, and a selection of hot options like fish, calamari and crumbed prawn cutlets. The platter is more than enough for the two of us, which we think is great value for the amount of fresh seafood you get.
